Protect your treatment.
What you do before and after any face, hair or body micro-channeling appointment matters. Proper preparation can make a significant difference in your results. To help you achieve the best outcome, we’ve created a detailed, step-by-step guide covering everything from pre-treatment preparation to post-treatment aftercare.
Before Your Appointment
• Avoid active skincare products: Discontinue the use of retinol, acids (e.g., glycolic or salicylic acid), exfoliants, and any harsh skincare products on the treatment area 5-7 days before your appointment.
• Skip blood thinners: Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E supplements 48 hours before your session to reduce the risk of bruising.
• Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to ensure your skin is well-hydrated for the treatment.
• Avoid sun exposure: Refrain from tanning or excessive sun exposure for at least one week before your appointment.
• Reschedule if necessary: If you have active acne, sunburn, or other skin irritations in the treatment area, wait until your skin is clear before undergoing the procedure.
After Your Appointment
• Avoid touching the area: Keep your hands away from the treated skin to avoid introducing bacteria for 90 minutes.
• Skip makeup and skincare: Refrain from applying makeup, sunscreen, or any skincare products (except for the recommended serums) for the first 24 hours.
• Moisturize: Use the provided ProCell aftercare serums to promote healing and hydration.
• Avoid sun exposure: Protect your skin by avoiding direct sunlight for at least one week post-treatment. Once healed, apply SPF daily.
• No sweating or swimming: Avoid excessive sweating, saunas, pools, or hot tubs for 72 hours after treatment.
• Do not exfoliate: Allow the skin to heal naturally without the use of scrubs or exfoliating products for at least one week.
What to Expect During Treatment
• ProCell Micro-Channeling uses tiny micro-channels to stimulate collagen production and deliver growth factors into the skin.
• You may experience mild discomfort, similar to a light scratching sensation, but a numbing agent can be applied for comfort.
• The session typically lasts 30-60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
• After treatment, your skin may appear red, similar to a mild sunburn, and feel slightly sensitive.
Healing Process
• Day 1-2: Skin may appear red and feel tight, similar to a mild sunburn.
• Days 3-5: Mild flaking or dryness may occur as your skin begins to heal.
• Days 6-7: Skin will appear more radiant and rejuvenated as new collagen is produced.
• Full results, including improved skin texture and tone, will continue to develop over the next 4-6 weeks.
